Our Parent Education schedule, listed below, offers a variety of programs designed to empower families at every stage—from early childhood to adolescence and beyond. Whether you are navigating parenting in recovery, raising teens, or stepping into a caregiving role for the second time, our courses provide practical tools, meaningful discussions, and a network of support. Parenting Journey in recovery
click to learn more This class is designed to help parents understand how past experiences and present realities shape their attitudes and beliefs as parents and influence how they engage with their children. Parents can seize the opportunity to take a new path resulting in a more confident parenting style and an understanding that they are not alone in their journey. This class provides a valuable source of fellowship and support and enhances awareness of triggers. Through a process of self-reflection and guided conversation, parents learn more about themselves and strengthen recovery through personal responsibility and personal actions while facing the daily challenges of living with substance use. Class will meet once a week on Monday afternoons in two hour sessions for fourteen weeks. This class is offered in person and online via Zoom. Dinner will be offered for in-person participants. This class will only be offered if attendance has met the minimum requirement. Participants will be given certification of proof upon completion of the program. The program focuses on building strengths, guides participants through hands-on activities and discussions to identify steps toward achieving personal and family goals, fostering positive behaviors for the future. Class will meet once a week on Monday afternoons in two hour sessions for twelve weeks. This class is offered in person and online via Zoom. Dinner will be offered for in-person participants. This class will only be offered if attendance has met the minimum requirement. Participants will be given certification of proof upon completion of the program. click to learn more This class is designed to employ the Nurturing Parenting Programs for Substance Abuse Treatment and Recovery, focusing on child development, self-esteem, self-awareness, and building healthy family relationships. This class explores the effects of substance misuse on themselves and their families. Participants will explore their own experiences and development as adults in recovery and examine the parallels and differences in the development and experiences of their children. This class is appropriate for both parents and caregivers who are in treatment or recovery for Substance Use Disorder as well as partners or extended family members who may be caring for their children. Class will meet once a week on Monday afternoons in two hour sessions for seventeen weeks. This class is offered in person and online via Zoom. Dinner will be offered for in-person participants. Participants will gain insight into important issues such as teens online, bullying, and depression. This course will help ensure that your teens develop the skills and character they need to not only survive but to thrive as they gain independence as they transition into adulthood. Class will meet once a week on Tuesday afternoons in two hour sessions for six weeks. This class is offered in person and online via Zoom. Dinner will be offered for in-person participants. This program teaches a balanced approach to nurture kids with freedom and nonviolent discipline. Participants will explore topics like understanding cries, developmental stages, building bonds, mindfulness, effective discipline, preparing for school success, and more. Class will meet once a week on Tuesday afternoons in two hour sessions for four weeks. This class is offered in person and online via Zoom. Dinner will be offered for in-person participants. It teaches strategies for building relationships, following directions, managing emotions, and deciphering behavior communication, ultimately replacing challenges with positive skills. Class will meet once a week on Tuesday afternoons in two hour sessions for seven weeks. This class is offered in person and online via Zoom. Dinner will be offered for in-person participants.
