individual Family Support |
individual family supportOne-on-one support that helps caretakers make connections, build community, and access the resources needed to raise healthy, happy children. In partnership with Family Support Specialists, individuals and their families set goals and work to remove any personal or environmental barriers along the way! Family Support Specialists are trained in the evidence-based in-home visiting curriculum, Parents as Teachers, as well as trained in the parent-driven developmental screening tool Ages & Stages Questionnaire, which is offered to caregivers. Home Visits are available for families with new babies or those with limited access to transportation. This service is free, confidential, and completely voluntary.

Meet Our Family Support Specialists
Sandy G.
I have been at Archways for a year working as a Family Support Specialist. I worked for the WIC program for 23 years, then decided I needed a change. I love being able to help people on a much bigger scale. I've been through the CRSW training and passed the test. I've raised 4 kids and have 2 granddaughters. I enjoy crafting, kayaking, spending time with my kids and all animals. |
Mia A.
My name is Mia, and I am the ACERT Coordinator (Adverse Child Response Team). I am very passionate about community support for families. I am an active board member for YAP (Youth Assistance Program). My Experience working with children goes back 30 years when I rebuilt and coached and became a mentor for The Girls Middle School age sports programs which is still going strong. I helped build the ACERT Program and we are working on incorporating SUD and Recovery to bringing Police and Community together. My goal is to help break any barriers a child might have to be the best. |

Tania R.
Unexpected life challenges happen to all of us. It was through those experiences I was first connected to Archways. This connection was life changing for me. I was connected to resources that helped me work through my struggles and helped me return to health. With the support of the team here at Archways, I got back on track and more than that I thrived. Today I work as a Kinship Navigator and have earned my Certified Recovery Support Worker licensure. It is an honor and a privilage for me to have the opportunity to work with families that may not know what to do or where to turn when they are facing those unexpected life challenges. |
