Family Support Boot Camp

This five-day, hands-on training equips Family Support Specialists and others working with families with the skills and knowledge for trauma-informed, family-centered practice. Covering topics like PCEs and ACEs, Family Systems Theory, and diverse family dynamics, participants learn to identify strengths, build empowering relationships, and apply trauma-informed care. Interactive exercises and reflective journaling enhance communication, active listening, and cultural humility. By the end, trainees are prepared to support families in fostering resilience, empowering parents, and creating lasting positive outcomes.

Supporting Families Affected by Problematic Substance Use

Family Support Specialists are often tasked with supporting families affected by substance use, but don’t necessarily have the appropriate training to do so. They may be left feeling ineffective and burned out. Additionally, misinformation rooted in stigma and bias can cause unintentional damage. This two-day training addresses the basics of recovery support, stigma, and provides practical strategies for support work with these families.
Forever Hope Training Center offers standard and customizable trainings in Recovery Support Services, Family Support Services, and related fields for organizations, agencies, and individuals.
